Update on Corporate Electronic Filing for Tax Year 2015
As of February 18, 2016, the North Carolina Department of Revenue (NCDOR) has completed internal testing of electronic filing for Corporate Income and Franchise tax schedules.
With conclusion of our internal functionality testing, the next step will involve working with the eFile provider community to have software products certified by the NCDOR. This process is now underway and as certifications are issued, the NCDOR will publish a list of approved providers and products on our website.
Currently, we do not have an official date for when taxpayers will be able to electronically file corporate or franchise tax returns for tax year 2015. However, with certifications being issued in real time, the agency anticipates this process will move very quickly and encourages accountants and taxpayers to monitor our website regularly for updates on product availability.
