Wake County Man Pleads Guilty to State Tax Charges

RALEIGH – A Wake County resident pleaded guilty recently in District Court to charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Michael W. Davis of 2706 Conifer Drive, Apt. C, Raleigh pleaded guilty on Jan. 10, 2008 to failure to file and pay the state individual income tax. He received a 45-day suspended sentence and was placed on supervised probation for 60 months. He must pay pay $24,586.32 in restitution and pay court costs.
The charges against Davis are the result of efforts by the Department’s Raleigh Collections Office.
